Description
They are called local because they stretch along the coastline of Sharm El Sheikh, from the Old Market area to the shores opposite Tiran Island.
The local dive sites are great for all levels of divers as most of them are sheltered from the waves and currents. Making it comfortable for the inexperienced diver to gain confidence and become familiar with the diving equipment. While the experience divers can get back in the swing of diving, setting their equipment up for the conditions, feeling comfortable and confident again before heading off to enjoy many adventures.
Local dive sites are rich in different coral types and many fish species, from smaller Anthias through to bigger Napoleon, Butterfly, Parrot, and Triggerfish, Blue Spotted rays to some pelagic species, Reef sharks and Eagle rays, soft and hard corals, from sweeping sandy plateaus, coral walls, canyons, and drop-offs.
